Question: How do I put my own images on my desktop that I see when I first boot up my computer?

Answer:

First you want to right click on your desktop where there is an empty space as shown here:

Then click on the Desktop tab as shown below:

Next click on the Browse button:

Now select the image that you want and click Open

Your last step is to hit apply and the background will change to the picture you've choosen
